EduStones is a Windows Phone 7 game created to teach the importance of culture, history, and art. The system is meant to be used especially by young people, who may not be very interested in studying from books.

The game is meant to be played close to the ruins of an ancient castle or in the alleys of a medieval or historic city, where players are required to scout the area and find alchemist's glowing stones on a virtual map. Players are motivated to perform fun physical and mental activities with friends by catching stones and solve puzzles unveiled by them. The game also works to educate young people on the UN Millennium Development Goals. For example, they can play in a map that teaches children the importance of recycling (Environmental Sustainability Millennium Goal) by asking them to collect virtual rubbish on the game map and throw it in the proper virtual bins to score points, or they can be invited to pick up some food and other goods at some donor supermarkets and bring them to poor people and charities. Our project is meant to make children aware of the problems that our world is suffering. Children and young people are our future and are the ones who will face these problems in some years.
